Something a little different for you all today. Yes, in the midst of all my wedding invitations and photography, I still love a good, solid design assignment. Below is a side project I have been working on for the last couple of weeks with a good friend, Jeff Marsh, about his experience with our beloved Mt. Rainier.

Jeff emailed me a while back and asked if I’d like to contribute some time designing an article he had written about his Ranier20Twelve fundraiser. Basically, Jeff and 4 of his good friends set out to summit Rainier with the goal of raising awareness and funds for the memorial of two fallen rangers — Margaret Anderson and Nick Hall. I had heard about the project prior to their climb, but never knew the extensive background of Jeff’s love of the mountain and how it all came together. From the first sentence of Jeff’s email, I knew I wanted to be part of sharing this great cause, so of course, I jumped on board. It’s an inspiring story with funny experiences and real life mishaps while 5 guys made their way up the mountain raising money and honoring those who lost their lives this past year working at Rainier. In addition to the article, there is a kick-ass documentary you should check out by Jeff as well.

A thank you to Jeff for allowing me to be part of this. I’m honored and excited for people to read this.
