I’ve tried a couple of times to figure out what to write for Lizzy & Eric. Deleted it. Tried again.
It’s hard to put into words what this day meant as a friend and as a wedding photographer. Sometimes you can feel like you know someone *so* well until you see them completely open, honest, and 100% vulnerable in front of the person they’re marrying, exchanging vows that are laying the foundation of a lifetime. For me, I’ve always seen Lizzy as a high energy, go-getter, life of the party, insanely talented & motivated designer — not leaving too much emotion out on the table (there’s never enough time!!) However, it was in that split second moment during the ceremony where the two of them were being told what they liked best about each other, that they leaned their heads together and just had a moment. No one else was there except the two of them. It’s in those small, small moments that maybe no one else noticed or looks for in the photos, but that moment alone made me feel like my job was so incredibly important… even if it is a good, good friend.
Lizzy & Eric — I am so lucky to have you guys back home in Seattle.
These two are truly two in a million and I know life for them will be nothing short of an amazing party <—they do know how to throw one! Cheers to Lizzy & Eric.
